A German Auxiliary Ship Berlin delegation receive first integration briefing on board the EUNAVFOR MED Flagship
Is the very first day “onboard” EUNAVFOR MED mission for the German auxiliary ship Berlin. Last Sunday, the 17th of October, a crew delegation, led by the ship Commanding Officer, CDR Marcel Rosenbohm, attended the mission in-chop briefing session on board the Flagship Cavour.
Berlin officially joined the European fleet on the 15th of October, after a short stop in Augusta harbor (Sicily), replacing another German ship, the Werra, after she spent around 3 months at sea, in Southern Central Mediterranean.
The Berlin delegation, composed by 5 key-function officer and petty-officers, was welcomed by the Force Commander, Rear Admiral Andrea Gueglio together with the Chief of the international staff, Captain Abel Romero.
The Flagship colleagues transferred to newcomers the mission procedures, rules and other important information, in order to let the German crew be successfully operational in the shortest time.
“We are pleased to welcome our German colleagues and to implement the European Force with their professional capabilities” said Captain Romero.
“The meeting is an important opportunity to provide the essential information on the mission, as well as to share each other professional experience” confirms the Flagship staff INTEL team supervisor officer, at the end of the “questions and answers” final session.
Welcome and good job to “Berlin” colleagues. Fairy wind and a good way home to the WERRA crew.
